Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Swasthya Bhawan received a threatening email claiming that four RDX explosives were planted inside the building and were scheduled to detonate at 5 PM. The email was sent from a new email ID, raising concerns among authorities. Upon receiving the threat, the Bidhannagar police station and the Cyber Crime Department were immediately informed and began an investigation.
The bomb disposal squad arrived at Swasthya Bhawan and conducted a thorough search of the premises. No explosives were found during the operation. Security personnel have increased vigilance, and the search is ongoing to ensure the safety of everyone inside the building. This email follows a similar threat received on Monday, which also led to a detailed search by police and bomb disposal experts without any explosives being discovered.
Authorities continue to investigate the source of the emails and have intensified security measures at Swasthya Bhawan. The Bidhannagar police and Cyber Crime Department are coordinating efforts to track the origin of the threats. Meanwhile, the bomb squad remains on-site to maintain security and conduct further checks if required.
